- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, egg, and finely chopped spearmint leaves. Pour in the ouzo, then season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, forming them into roughly egg-sized balls.
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Working in batches if necessary, dredge each meatball lightly in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess. Carefully place them into the hot oil.
- Fry the meatballs, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown on all sides and cooked through. Serve hot.
