Tomato sauce
Directions
- Heat oil in a saucepan and saute onion.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for half an hour or more, until the sauce absorbs its water.
- This sauce can be used in pasta or rice.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg fresh tomatoes (or 1 large tin preserved tomatoes)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Basil
- 1 bayleaf
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 garlic clove
- Salt
- Pepper
