Cinnamon cake - (Keik me kanela)

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 gr flour
  • 220 gr butter
  • 100 gr milk
  • 300 gr sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tspns baking powder
  • 2 spoons brandy
  • 1 spoon cinnamon cloves

METHOD

Mix flour with baking powder and cinnamon. Beat the butter well until it becomes white and then add the sugar and the egg yolks. Add the milk, the brandy and the flour. Beat the egg whites to make a tight marengue and add the marengue to the mixture. Butter a cake tin and pour the mixture into it. Bake in moderate oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

I just made this without the brandy (i'm 11) and it tastes great. my sisters loved it too.
